Department Purpose
The Division of Development & Alumni Relations (DEVAR) provides leadership inbuilding enduring public trust, understanding, and support for UC Davis and its mission of teaching, research, and public service. UC Davis' Office of University Development provides leadership, coordination and support services to help the university meet its mission of research, teaching and service by building philanthropic support and executing approved fundraising programs that support the university's highest priorities and initiatives. Within DEVAR, the Foundation and Corporate Engagement (FCE) office serves as a one-stop shop to connect industry and foundations across the university based on interest and opportunity. Our specialized team works with faculty and staff in collaboration with various campus offices and unit partners to build and manage strategic and holistic campus-wide corporate and foundation partnerships.
JOB SUMMARY
Within the office of Foundation and Corporate Engagement (FCE), and under the direction of the Managing Executive Director, Foundation Engagement, the Director of Foundation Engagement is a metric-driven position that supports a strategic plan to maintain and increase foundation support for UC Davis, including both the academic and health campuses. The Director of Foundation engagement is an advanced fundraising professional with recognized expertise in foundation-related frontline fundraising who independently performs the full range of responsibilities of a university development officer, analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope, and determines solutions. Using advanced fundraising concepts, plans, organizes, and directs fundraising campaigns which include multiple components. The results of the incumbent's efforts have major impact on overall program goals and assignments and are typically at the "major gifts" level.

Work occasional overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays.
