We are looking for an experienced candidate to add to our equipment manufacturing team to ensure our supply chain and logistics operations function properly. In this role, you'll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Sales, and Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management, as well as great leadership and communication ability.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)

Develop and implement processes to overcome supply chain processes.

Own all physical inventory and cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy

Adjust, reconcile and manage all inventory including activities including receiving and shipping.

Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory

Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.

Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.

Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.

Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.

Identifies inventory and vendor trends to avoid disruptions to manufacturing.

Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.

Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.

Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.

Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues

Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly

Train and guide employees

Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes

Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)

Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth

Requirements and skills

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

Hands on experience with supply chain management software.

Extremely knowledgeable of supply chain processes

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required or equivalent experience.

5 years directly related experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment

CSCP, CPIM Certification or relative experience.

Salary: $110,000 to $130,000 per year DOE.
