What you'll do

You will be a hands-on analytics and data Product Manager leading data collection and instrumentation across DocuSign's worldwide digital experiences. You will partner closely with analysts, product managers, business stakeholders, and Engineering to understand our data and analytics needs and capabilities, develop detailed specs for instrumenting tracking on our marketing and commerce experiences, and co create our long-term digital data roadmap for the end-to-end customer journey. You will become the subject matter expert and steward of data across our marketing website, commerce flows, and related digital experiences. You will succeed by combining analytical domain knowledge, technical proficiency, ruthless prioritization, and the ability to collaborate and influence your key partners and cross-functional teams.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Growth Marketing Analytics & Operations Principal.

Responsibility

  • Lead Google Analytics, Mixpanel and Ad tech tagging from start to finish
  • Co-own Google Tag Manager governance and implementation
  • Create instrumentation specifications, write analytics requirements, and support Engineering for new initiatives
  • Ensure analytics instrumentation is scalable, consistent, and efficient while following industry standard methodologies
  • Validate and implement QA of new tags on the site to ensure they are working as expected
  • Provide Google Analytics and Mixpanel knowledge to support partners across our Product Led Growth team
  • Maintain and improve data governance processes including but not limited to approval process, releases, monitoring, audits, and de-duplication
  • Advocate and educate team members within DocuSign to understand our analytics tools and best practices for using the tools
  • Look for process and technical improvements continually and implement those changes where applicable

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, CS) with 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, instrumentation, consulting
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (or equivalent tools)
  • 3+ years experience in HTML, CSS and advanced JavaScript skills
  • Experience with how analytics tags work and quickly debugging tracking issues
  • Experience with analytics, reporting, A/B testing, and data technologies

Preferred

  • 2+ years experience leading website tagging and instrumentation at scale
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with one of the following: Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Heap
  • 2+ years of SQL skills with excellent hands-on exposure to database structures and principles, data models and dimensional models
  • Proven ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams, particularly analytics and engineering teams
  • Experience with agile/scrum product development
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and proactive consultation skills
  • Experience using both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with the principles of data engineering
  • Demonstrated proficiency building dashboards in Data Studio, Tableau, etc.

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $134,900 - $216,975 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $129,000 - $182,250 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $129,000 - $190,550 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
