JOB PURPOSE
Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
  • Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
  • Maintain databases within an application area

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government granted personnel security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Job Located at a U.S. Government Facility
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
Experience Requirements
  • 3 years of professional experience with software engineering
  • Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
  • Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
Preferred
  • Five (5) years demonstrated technical experience with test, data analysis, integration, experimentation, RF engineering expertise tasks in support of various IW, C4ISR, TDL, Multi-TDL and LVC events for experimentation, exercises, and training in port and underway on ships, and Government test and evaluation facilities.
  • Desired five (5) years demonstrated technical experience with SoS Architectures and Architectural Experimentation for Joint Integrated Fires and Joint All Domain Warfare. This includes drafting, editing and reviewing documents such as Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) related to IW and C4ISR Systems including: Link- 16, BLOS, TTNT, and WAN
