SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Directs the financial activities of the site in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and corporate policies and procedures. Directs the preparation of the payroll, assists departments in budgeting and forecasts in the site's revenues and expenditures, and oversees the accounts payable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Prepares the site financial statement according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to ensure that the financial position and results of operations are accurately reflected for internal and external use.
2. Coordinates with staff in recording and reconciling payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Directs department staff in performing general accounting and fixed asset functions.
4. Identifies opportunities to improve the financial management of the site, conserve resources, or achieve cost savings.
5. Works closely with the treasury and tax teams on issues related to intercompany, cash management, strategy, tax planning and compliance, and transfer pricing.
6. Assists department heads in preparing their budgets and in planning for growth.
7. Consults with staff to assist in cost/benefit analysis for equipment and other large expenditure items.
8. Assists department heads in interpreting financial information and in utilizing managerial accounting principles to improve decision making.
9. Implements and periodically reviews department accounting controls and methods. Assists in the maintenance and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting.
10. Reviews and approves purchase orders per policy.
11. Meets with department staff to consult with and improve their performance and provides resources to assist them as necessary.
12. Assists in the management of the chart-of-accounts and set-up of new corporate entities in the region as needed.
13. Performs other financially related tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

* Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business with extensive course work or experience in accounting.
* A minimum of six eight years of responsible accounting experience to include preparing financial statements and advising management in budgeting and financial administration, with three of those years in a leadership role.
* Ability to work effectively with others as a member of a team.
* A broad understanding of supervisory and managerial concepts and the ability to apply them in helping others to improve their performance.
* Effective oral/written communications skills, including the ability to explain financial management and accounting concepts to managers and staff.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Designation as a Certified Public Accountant.
