What to Expect?

We are looking for an all-star Arch Rep with the ambition, experience, and sales-drive to perform a variety of business development within the A&D community. You will be tasked with promoting and expanding the Behr name and driving project sales in the Bay area, a core market for our A&D efforts. Your typical day will include performing outside sales efforts and developing relationships with key customers including: architects, interior designers, and landscape architects by using a customer driven, planned, and detailed sales approach. You will identify and influence decision makers by developing relationships through face-to-face meetings, emails, phone calls, professional associations, and old-school networking.

Main Responsibilities
  • Initiate sales process through prospecting. Understand the needs of architect's, specifiers and designers needs through informational meetings, response to inquiries and requests for service.
  • Membership, participation, and support, of local CSI Chapters, Product Shows/Events to increase and support architect/specifier relationships.
  • Coordinate efforts with Pro Sales Team to ensure that sales efforts are supported generation of contractor bid opportunities and submittals.
  • Provide support at national/regional AIA/CSI and other Trade Shows as identified to build Behr's National and Regional presence.
  • Handle expense accounts for all budgets based on allocations.
  • Uphold Behr/Kilz business values and philosophy of "doing the right thing" in all business interactions.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans/quotas.

  • Are well organized, self motivated and has excellent time management.
  • Are proficient in CRM database system, data entry, word processing, and Microsoft Office.
  • Have an appreciation for Architecture and Design.
  • Consistently demonstrate interest, enthusiasm and caring for your work.
  • Love to work with customers and have a commitment to excellent customer service!

What Every Candidate MUST Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
