Pay Range

$172,140 - $221,064 Annually for the SEL.3 level

$206,490 - $265,188 Annually for the SEL.4 level

Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.


Job Description

We have an opening for a LivIT Deputy Associate Program Leader. You will assist the Associate Program Leader in providing advanced technical support, development, and program leadership to the Livermore IT Program and direct the delivery of LivIT program work in the Document Management and Collaboration Services area of the LivIT Workforce Enablement program area. You will be working hand in hand with the LivIT Workforce Enablement Program Associate Program Leader to effectively lead the group objectives. This position is in the Information Technology Solutions Division (ITSD) in support of the LivIT Program.

This position will be filled at eitherlevel based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

You will

  • Supervise and provide leadership, technical direction, and guidance for a team of 7 or more staff and team lead(s) assigned to the group in support of program-specific missions.
  • Develop IT strategic roadmaps, projects, and budget proposals for delivery of services, in collaboration with the Associate Program Leader and the Document Management and Collaboration integrated service team.
  • Utilize expertise in Document Management methodology, Document Management IT technologies, and process improvement and development, to design, develop and deliver advanced services in the Unified Communications area under minimal direction of LivIT WE management.
  • Define, design, and implement SharePoint based solutions in collaborationwith project team members, consultants, contractors, users, and business process owners.
  • Responsible for the successful execution of project efforts, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the delivery of services around document management and document technologies that support the entire institution.
  • Interact with professional colleagues, supervisors/leads in other functional areas, and customer/sponsor representatives on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines to complete objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

In addition, at the SEL.4 level

  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment to define and develop the approach to team interactions to achieve the goals of the program.
  • Provide leadership to the team; build, develop, and nurture team dynamics; identify and implement IT best practices.

Qualifications
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and significant related experience.
  • Advanced Knowledge in the delivery of one or more document management technologies and services including Microsoft, Oracle, Box, or equivalent platforms at the enterprise level.
  • Advanced understanding of document management methodologies and processes including one or more of the following: data loss prevention/retention, collaboration, metadata/taxonomies, workplace productivity, records management, systems integration, archive technologies, compliance, control processes and process modeling/automation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with SharePoint Administration in a large complex environment or similar equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing custom solutions with SharePoint or other comparable platforms or languages.
  • Experience leading, developing, and delivering enterprise level solutions and working within a diverse cross team environment to deliver highly complex solutions.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication and collaboration skills necessary to present, explain, and provide advice to management as well as develop formal correspondence, reports, proposals, and performance appraisals.

In addition at the SEL.4 level

  • Subject matter expert knowledge in the delivery of one or more document management technologies and services including Microsoft, Oracle, Box, or equivalent platforms at the enterprise level.
  • Subject matter expert knowledge and significant experience designing and architecting complex SharePoint implementations or other comparable platforms.
  • Expert verbal and written communication and collaboration skills necessary to present, explain, and provide advice to management as well as develop formal correspondence, reports, proposals, and performance appraisals.

Qualifications We Desire

  • (DMCP) Document Management Certified Professional, (CIP) Certified Information Professional
  • Advanced ability to develop integrated approaches and document-based solutions that meet the needs of a highly diverse workforce.
  • Advanced knowledge of LLNL management and structure, including supervision, budget, policies and procedures.
