Job Summary

Please note: this will be 100% on site at 1380 Howard Street, SOMA. 16 hours per week through May, 2025.

The Administrative Assistant's primary duties will be providing administrative support for the clinic and program. This will include data entry, submitting purchasing requests for equipment, scheduling meetings and interviews, organizing program files, and working with the Medical Director, Division Administrator, and Clinic Manager. In addition, will occasionally assist with front desk operations including being the first point of contact for patients, optimizing patient flow, and working collaboratively with the team to create a patient centered environment. The employee will assist with greeting patients, scheduling patients, answering the clinic phone.


The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $25.72 - $36.59. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate, position requirements, AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications

The ideal applicant will have experience working with patient front desk services and knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft word, excel, outlook, zoom.
