We are seeking a highly motivated Heavy Civil Resident Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects. In this position, you will join our global team of experts and act as a Resident Engineer on an active tunnel and dam project site during construction.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Supervise the CM staff
  • Lead progress meetings, daily coordination with the contractor, oversee inspection team, identify and resolve issues, coordinate with the Owner team, coordinate the performance of schedule reviews to identify potential delays and disruptions, supervise the administration of the construction contract relative to processing RFIs, submittals, correspondence and changes.
  • Inspect the work regularly and documenting and reporting on construction.
  • Maintain communication with Owner and key stakeholders.
  • Undertake work with limited guidance and handle activities on your own within the construction project office.
  • Oversee construction management, coordination with project teams, progress monitoring, and submittal reviews.
  • Provide technical support to field inspectors, monitor schedules, prepare cost estimates, and assist in claim analysis and contract administration in change management.
  • Delegated authority as Owner's Representative for construction contract administration.

On top of that, you will:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (civil, mining, or similar) with 10 plus years of experience including tunnel or dam design, construction, construction management, and inspection along with a Professional Engineering license, preferably in the State of California.
  • Have prior experience with heavy civil projects and construction oversight, project documentation, and construction management.
  • Have experience in construction management including contract administration, safety observation, and quality assurance inspection to ensure that all work in progress complies with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Have technical skills in current Office 365 systems and internet-based project collaboration systems.
  • Demonstrate an independent work ethic and proficiency in balancing multiple responsibilities in a swift-moving setting.

Base compensation: $175,000 to $225,000 for the Morgan Hill location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
