*This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Carlsbad, CA. In-office expectation is 3 days a week*.

ABOUT THE POSITION

prAna is seeking a modern strategic business leader to lead our Product Creation function. You need to be an inclusive, progressive, and inspirational leader who can inspire our product design, merchandising, and commercialization functions to deliver results. This role is responsible to develop both short- and long-term global product strategies and vision for growth in our Direct and Wholesale businesses.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Strategy Development & Enablement

  • Identifying the competitive landscape and customer needs and identifies opportunities to strategically align the brand to those needs

  • Formulating high growth product strategies to produce incremental growth aligned to those needs

  • Champion that strategy cross-functionally to ensure company alignment and galvanize & inspire teams to develop tactics to support strategic direction.

  • In partnership with the President and VPs of Wholesale Sales, DTC and Marketing develop the seasonal product Go-To-Market strategy that aligns with the annual revenue goals & objectives.

  • Partner with VP Marketing to ensure design and creative alignment as well as to define and execute go-to-market strategy and messaging. Helping the team to understand the product positioning and competitive landscape.

Product and Brand Management

Drive the prAna brand through differentiated products, stories and experiences that consistently exceed functional and emotional customer expectations. Inspire and empower teams to:

  • Development of an omni-channel merchandising architecture, leveraging current market dynamics and customer trends.

  • Create consumer-focused, compelling and innovative product for the Global marketplace each season.

  • Develop best in class product quality, technical design, and cost effective development to build best in class product

  • Partner with sourcing and manufacturing to bring the product to life

Operational and Financial Management

  • Evaluating scenarios and implications of complex decisions

  • Leveraging key stakeholders to drive fast, efficient, and effective business processes and transformations as needed

  • Developing and driving key indicators at all levels to insure added economic value to the Company.

Team Leadership

  • Leads, drives, and inspires diverse, high performing teams to improve organizational effectiveness

  • Works collaboratively across functions within product, brand/marketing, and marketplace teams to execute each season flawlessly.

  • Creates a synergistic Product Leadership team and business environment that encourages accountability, high-standards, and innovation to consistently deliver positive business results

  • Builds diverse collaborative teams modeling inclusivity leveraging each team member's unique background and perspective

  • Builds a team atmosphere that others want to be part of leading with equity and by example.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, international commerce, or related discipline
  • 15+ years of experience, 10+ years of senior management experience with extensive active outdoor lifestyle apparel knowledge
  • Creativity and knowledge in all areas of product creation including the ability to conceptualize, develop and implement innovative product development programs
  • Sense of urgency in pursuing business opportunities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven, growth environment
  • Demonstrated executive presence, ability to navigate complexity, work with creative and technical teams, and collaborate across brand and enterprise leadership teams

Salary Range: $300,000 - $350,000

Expected Pay Range for Hire: $300,000 - $350,000
