Your Role

Gensler's architecture practice is looking for well-spoken, multi-faceted and innovative designers who are eager to both understand and push the parameters of architectural design for leading academic and civic institutions. What You Will Do

  • Be passionate about design

  • Be friendly, optimistic, and a hardcore team player

  • Excel in verbal and digital communication as well as hand sketches and physical models

  • Be facile and open to experience with diverse design elements including environmental/social project contexts, sustainability, and rigorous technical understanding and documentation

  • Collaborate on design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development

  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

  • Resolve complex technical and design issues

  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination

  • Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction

  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples

  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning program

Your Qualifications

  • B.Arch or M.Arch (Professional Degree Preferred)

  • 0-5 years experience designing multiple building typologies of varying scale

  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development

  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills

  • Revit skills are required

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch Up and 3-D Studio Max preferred

  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required; Portfolios should include at least 1 project with this particular focus, and candidates should be prepared to talk to this in their interview, especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard , Fitwell and /or Net Zero Building certification

**The base salary will be estimated between $62,000 - $75,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
