YOUR DAY TO DAY: (Role summary):

Performs a variety of electronic, mechanical, or composite assembly tasks demonstrating the skills of a fully experienced and versatile assembler with the ability to produce a consistent high production level and high quality of product.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR: (Responsibilities):

• Performs routine electronic, mechanical, and technical assembly tasks such as constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, tubes, microwave products, electro-mechanical devices, components, and systems.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions.
• Operates related electronic, mechanical and laboratory equipment necessary to construct, test, evaluate, repair, process, weld, and maintain specific products and equipment.
• Prepares prescribes compounds and solution for use in processing, etching and metalizing materials.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks on electronic or mechanical equipment.
• Conducts routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing and reports on data in prescribed format.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE: (Minimum requirements):

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• US citizenship and ability to receive a DOD security clearance.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Good English communication skills.
• Familiarity with and able to follow safety practices.
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings and have a good understanding of geometric tolerances.
• Ability to use microscope for extended periods of time.
• Reliable & dependent. Ability/willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to learn how to use necessary computer tools.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees to meet department goals.
• Willingness to support the team by demonstrating commitment and willingness to take additional responsibilities and do what is needed to get the job done.

Salary Range - $18.00 - $25.00 / hour
