Do you want to help build the future of 3D & Mixed Reality creative tools at Adobe?

Adobe Design is looking for a Senior Staff Designer to help drive the evolution of our Substance 3D and Augmented Reality ecosystem for creative users. As we continue to assemble an industry leading 3D & Immersive design organization, we are eager to find an experienced and conscientious designer to craft innovative new 3D tools. From the smallest details to big-picture concepts our team members are central to the strategy of Adobe's 3D tools and the future of multidimensional creation.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the product teams and lead the creative process from the beginning; from helping to define the right problems to solve, crafting design and interaction explorations, to getting that interaction model juuuust right. You'll work closely with an outstanding design team, product managers, and engineers to deliver key results, meaningful new creative possibilities, and end-to-end customer experiences.

What you'll do
  • Approach problems holistically. Be an influential design leader, helping your cross-functional peers define the opportunity, strategy by designing solutions that push 3D & Immersive creation forward.

  • Connect the dots. As a Designer with 3D industry knowledge and expertise, you will explore the unseen opportunities and "what if?" new opportunities within the 3D and Immersive space. You'll partner daily with product leadership, research, and technical artists to craft the future.

  • Collaborate like mad! Identify commonalities and opportunities for end-to-end experiences across workflows, devices, customer segments, and dimensions! Partner with the product, art, and marketing teams to drive best-in-class experiences.

What you need to succeed
  • 8+ years of practical experience in the domain space.

  • Experience in a 3D-related industry. Virtual/augmented reality, real-time production, new input methods such as camera sensors, 6DoF controllers, and/or hand tracking is a plus.

  • Knowledge in 3D tools such as Blender, Houdini, CAD, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar software.

  • Comfort coaching, mentoring, and encouraging an inclusive and empowering environment for the team to do innovative and impactful work.

  • Experience working with teams solving ambiguous problems and crafting big picture strategies driven by design. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a prerequisite.

  • Ability to facilitate successful cross-product-design-engineering team engagements in the early stages of strategic projects.

  • Deep expertise framing problems from customer's point of view and solving problems through design craft.

  • Being able to socialize new insights and ideas with strong design rationale, grounded in user research and business goals. Your leadership will invite the team to act to ensure better customer and business outcomes.

  • Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools such as Figma or similar software.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $150,200 -- $278,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
