Join us as a Maintenance Tech II in our Moorpark, CA Facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for Installing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery and computer controlled mechanical systems in an industrial setting.

Location Description:

At Pentair we've revolutionized the pool industry with innovative and high-performance pool pumps, filters, heaters, cleaners, lights, automation systems and more. We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician II for our Maintenance Department at our Moorpark, CA facility. Only offices are air conditioned, industrial ceiling fans inside warehouse.

What's in it for you?

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $30.00-$38.00. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs

  • 11 paid holidays each year

  • 2 weeks of paid vacation to start (accrued weekly) and prorated based on hire date.

More details about the opportunity:

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience as an industrial electrician.
  • Effectively and safely complete install's, repairs, and adjust manufacturing equipment with a focus on plant Safety, Quality and production goals.
  • Operate, diagnose, analyze, and repair industrial equipment such as hot oil units, vacuums conveyors, epoxy dispensing machines, IM presses and other production equipment.
  • Ability to program robots, using software or interactive programming techniques, to perform simple or complex tasks.
  • Ability to perform robot PMs, troubleshoot failures and implement repairs.
  • Assist with basic electronics/programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting (PLC)
  • Close Work Orders and PMs with appropriate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used in CMMS)
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repairs of different types of production equipment and ensure uptime/efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics.
  • Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modifications.
  • Collaborate with peers and maintenance leadership team to perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures.
  • Complete work orders and respond to maintenance calls in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensures effective communication between shifts and team by following documentation procedures and standards.
  • Observes and applies good manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work, plan, and prioritize independently and in a cross functional team
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills inclusive of exercising good judgement.
  • Work as part of a team to read and interpret information, monitor equipment, and inspect equipment production to maintain quality standards.
  • Must have 1 or more years of related experience in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to analyze electro -mechanical devices, trouble shoot failures and implement repairs.
  • Assist with the development and training of Techs I.
  • Injection Molding experience preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed for maintenance functions.

Position Hours/Shift:

  • 1st Shift

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • In order to accommodate the needs of our business, it may be necessary to change individual work schedules on either a short-term or long-term basis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience as an industrial electrician.

  • Must have 1 or more years of related experience in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.

  • Injection Molding experience preferred.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist at the waist.

  • Must be able to lift-up to 30 pounds from floor to waist.

  • Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills inclusive of exercising good judgement.
