Job Description

As a Gensler Designer, you will collaborate with our Design Directors to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into realized2D/3Dmodels and images, and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate on design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development

  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

  • Resolve complex technical and design issues

  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination

  • Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction

  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples

  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning program

Your Qualifications

  • 0-5 years experience designing multiple building typologies of varying scale

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, with a rigorous design education

  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development

  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills

  • Revit skills are required

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch Up and 3-D Studio Max preferred

  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required; Portfolios should include at least 1 project with this particular focus, and candidates should be prepared to talk to this in their interview, especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard , Fitwell and /or Net Zero Building certification

**The base salary will be estimated between $62,000 - $75,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
