Job Description
Under the strategic direction of the Director and Associate Director, the Marketing and Communications Manager assumes a pivotal role in spearheading comprehensive marketing and communications strategies for the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT), with event coordination as a key component. This multifaceted position entails developing and executing innovative marketing campaigns, enhancing brand exposure, and fostering meaningful connections with sponsors and community stakeholders to elevate CE-CERT's visibility and reputation. In addition to leading marketing and communications efforts, the incumbent will coordinate all aspects of event planning and implementation, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to UC and UCR policies and procedures. Leveraging their expertise in marketing and communications, the incumbent will strategically position CE-CERT as a leader in environmental research and technology, driving engagement and fostering partnerships with target audiences. The Marketing and Communications Manager collaboratively partners with the Directors of CE-CERT, contributing strategic insights and operational support to achieve organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience and expertise in marketing and communications, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute impactful strategies. They will also have a strong background in event coordination and management, coupled with exceptional organizational acumen and a proven track record of cultivating key relationships within the environmental research and technology sector.

Please Note: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to accommodate event requirements is essential to effectively fulfill the demands of this role.
