Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Partner with and provide support to geotechnical staff on current and future projects. Perform administrative tasks of a technical nature related to specific geotechnical engineering projects, draft specific written report sections, track project milestones and assist with graphics, boring logs, etc.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare specific written report sections and associated drawings and attachments.
  • Draft proposals and fee estimates for standard or routine projects.
  • Maintain updates to project status including subtask timelines and deliverable dates including financials.
  • Assist in drafting project change orders.
  • Perform project registration.
  • May prepare request for information responses regarding design changes.
  • May assist with utility locating services and clearances.
  • May perform other engineering support tasks including development of drawings and directives for proposed boring and test pit locations and plans and preparation of boring and test pit logs.
  • Schedule and communicate with the client regarding project report status and delivery schedule.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Maintained quality standards on all projects.
  • Ensure project team is aware of any specific client guidelines
  • Request documents from the client and may assist with obtaining encroachment and drilling permits.
  • Frequently communicate with team members. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science or related field and 2 years' experience in engineering/scientific support role. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years' related experience.
  • Experience with gINT Geotechnical software preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history


The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
$33.00 - $46.25 per hour
