As a Physicist here at the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, your responsibilities will include performing various tasks related to dosimetry, calibration, treatment planning, protection, and safety within the field of radiation therapy. This role involves directing CT simulation, overseeing the transfer of studies to the treatment planning system, contouring structures, calculating doses, determining and verifying machine settings, and ensuring accurate data transfer to the record and verify system. Additionally, the Physicist collaborates with the Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Departments, conducting radiation protection surveys and participating in performance evaluations. This position requires a strong understanding of the technical aspects of radiation therapy and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy in treatment procedures. to learn more about the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center!

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Initiate and develop procedures for calibration and data collection of newly established programs
  • Participate in Brachytherapy treatment planning and loading of radioactive sources
  • Ensure that all assignments (including recurring assignments) are completed as scheduled

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • PhD
  • 24 months clinical work in Radiation Physics or graduation from a CAMPEP program
  • ABR or ABMP or eligibility plus certification within 2 years of hire
