YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE

We are looking for a Warehouse Sampling Specialist in 6360 Gateway dr, Cypress, CA 90603 USA. Your mission will be to:

The incumbent is responsible for performing warehouse product sampling for FDA detentions. The incumbent will receive sampling assignments from the FDA Project Coordinator and will be responsible for scheduling, travel, and execution of the sampling plan. When not performing FDA detentions, the incumbent will perform other laboratory duties locally.

Main activities:
* Communicate with the FDA Project Coordinator and local supervisor to maintain the warehouse sampling schedule
* Coordinate with the warehouse to set sampling appointments
* Travel to the warehouse and pull samples in accordance with the sampling plan provided by the FDA Project Coordinator and the FDA guidelines
* Label and photograph samples per FDA guidelines and client-specific protocols
* Digitally transmit photographs in appropriate quality to the FDA Project Coordinator using various service providers as directed (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, etc.)
* Complete the sample Collection Report provided by FDA Project Coordinator
* Pack and ship samples from the warehouse to the testing laboratory, following appropriate shipping protocols
* Maintain detailed travel expenses per HR guidelines when sampling assignments require extended travel
* Maintain appropriate inventory of FDA sampling supplies (labels, sampling bags, coolers, etc.)
* Ensure departmental Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times.
* The incumbent must exhibit safe driving skills and maintain a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
* Store samples in appropriate manner until analysis is completed and appropriately dispose of extra samples. Ensure sample integrity is maintained.
* May assist laboratory personnel with preparation and analysis of samples and washing of laboratory equipment.
* Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.
* This position has the responsibilities and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in
accordance with the prescribed complaint system.
* Adhere to all safety policies.
* Perform other related duties as needed.

YOUR PROFILE

* Basic knowledge of the sample receiving process is necessary to facilitate delivery of adequate samples for the analysis process.
* Basic knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful to perform necessary sample preparation and to maintain safety and integrity of the sample.
* Incumbent must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle, possess a valid driver's license and exhibit safe driving skills.
* Time management skills are helpful to facilitate the sampling process.
* General office and computer skills are necessary duties for the department.
* Minimum of High school diploma or GED or equivalent relevant work experience.

Required skills:
* Attention to detail, strong writing and oral communication, planning and organizing, time management, stress tolerance and safety focus are critical.
* Incumbent performs routine tasks to follow established procedures. Integrity of sample environment must be maintained to avoid inaccurate results.
* Incumbent uses knowledge of the geographic area and the advice of the supervisor to solve problems. The incumbent must review sample documentation to determine adequacy and appropriateness of information provided. Problems can be addressed with the help of the supervisor, client contact, previous testing practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Incumbent routinely makes decisions on the accuracy and adequacy of sample information and documentation. If sample information is questionable, the incumbent seeks information from the FDA project coordinator, the supervisor or the client. Unique or unusual difficulties generally require the input of the supervisor to determine a solution.
* Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are necessary for this role. The incumbent is expected to be able to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* General computer skills including Gmail, GSuite and Microsoft Office producers including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
* Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to use a digital camera/cellphone to produce acceptable photos of the product. Ability to see close images (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and ability to see color are needed for this role.
The incumbent receives regular supervision. The incumbent works toward specific goals and objectives established by the supervisor.

Work Environment: The incumbent should expect to spend 40%-60% of their time (2-3 days per week) traveling and is subject to the environmental conditions of each delivery. Lifting of up to 50-pound sample loads is required. The incumbent will also work in a laboratory setting with proper temperature and lighting control and can require the wearing of a mask, laboratory coat, and insulated gloves. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory. The incumbent can expect extended time spent walking and in a standing and standing position. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard.

Pay Range: $21-$31/hr
