We're actively seeking a talented Attorney to join our Office of General Counsel team in Newport Beach, CA (hybrid work schedule). Preference is for this role to be located in Newport Beach but remote will be considered. You'll play a key role in supporting the rapidly growing Institutional Division, fostering Pacific Life's growth and long-term success in our chosen institutional markets, including defined contribution lifetime income.

How you will make an impact:

  • Delivering differentiated legal and compliance services to the Institutional Division, including services related to product design and development, marketing and distribution matters, and operational structures
  • Partnering with Enterprise Compliance to ensure the Institutional Division has and continues to develop a robust, effective and risk-based compliance program
  • Providing direct and indirect leadership and oversight to a team of legal and compliance professionals
  • Engaging with industry peers, both directly and through industry trades, to identify, leverage or develop best practices.

The experience and skills you will bring:

  • Law degree and state bar admission
  • 8+ years of highly relevant experience
  • Comfortable dealing with and making decisions in the face of ambiguity
  • Ability to breakdown, understand, and communicate complex issues
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$193,950.00 - $237,050.00
