You will:

  • Drive the commercial performance of the life sciences, ecosystem, and public sector (LEPS) vertical
    • Develop and execute the LEPS GTM marketing and product strategy that aligns with GTM objectives and new growth initiatives
    • Analyze client data and understand industry benchmarks, business trends and opportunities to recommend the most effective growth strategies
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to develop value propositions and message maps that position Datavant as critical for enterprise-wide data strategies for Life Sciences
    • Develop value propositions and strategies for ecosystem and public sector customers, including the role of our approach to data neutrality
    • Optimize the lead generation engine to provide marketing qualified leads to the sales team and assist the Sales and GTM teams to meet monthly bookings goals.
  • Lead a high performing team
    • Set clear performance expectations for the team, translating them to individual performance
    • Develop marketing teams, including recruitment, assessment, and professional development plans
  • Serve as a member of the LEPS leadership team
    • Provide strategic counsel and insight into leadership team discussions
    • Drive projects as needed to meet broader LEPS goals
  • Manage the successful execution of enterprise-supporting COEs (brand, events, digital, marketing operations)
    • Create a strategy to ensure the COEs capacity and capabilities elevate Datavant's position and marketing execution
    • Develop OKRs to align with business needs
    • Create and manage budgets, in conjunction with Finance, to ensure support matches business priorities
  • Develop customer insights capabilities
    • Work with brand lead to identify external sources, including market research, to better understand customer perceptions
    • Design and implement - over time - qualitative and quantitative research that yields data required for developing insights for various use cases
    • Define and assess Datavant's competitive space to guide branding and GTM efforts
  • Oversee successful execution of Datavant's Future of Health Data Summit
    • Lead enterprise market research efforts including
    • Develop key metrics, and track brand awareness and perceptions and communicate key insights to internal stakeholders.

What You Will Bring to the Table:

  • 10 years of marketing experience in B2B tech, health care industry preferred
  • Passion for health data and helping customers use it to improve human health
  • A creative storyteller: able to develop and craft compelling messaging and content to communicate value to target customers
  • History of successfully leading diverse teams with direct and indirect reporting relationships, including attracting and developing high performing talent
  • Curiosity and regularly review how other companies within and outside the B2B healthcare position themselves.
  • Understanding of a broad set of healthcare industry players including health plans, providers/health systems, life sciences, public sector and health data analytics companies
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and launching new products
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in customer insights gathering and marketing operations, preferred

Our compensation philosophy is to be externally competitive, internally fair, and not win or lose on compensation. Salary ranges for this position are developed with the support of benchmarks and industry best practices.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $275,000 - $325,000.
