The Database Services Specialist position will provide key donor database services support for the Scripps Health Foundation department. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter and come from a background in healthcare non-profit work, fundraising, and office systems. Having previous experience utilizing Blackbaud CRM nonprofit software solution is a strong must. We are looking for an individual who pays attention to detail, completes accurate work, manages their time efficiently and communicates effectively.

The primary duties of the Database/Donor Services Specialist include:

    • Manages the production, verification, accuracy and timeliness of customized complex reports and mailing lists to end-users throughout Scripps Health Foundation in support of system wide fundraising efforts.
    • Works closely with Foundation staff, IS patient data stewards and Audit and Compliance to ensure patient privacy and accuracy of data reported.
    • Manages the suppression of community members who opt out of receiving SH mailings or solicitations.
    • Provides ad hoc reporting assistance to users experiencing difficulty with Foundation CRM database.
    • Supports physician patient solicitations and fundraising financial reporting. .
    • Individual must be extremely well organized, detail-oriented, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously and have the utmost integrity, accountability and commitment.

This is a Full-Time (80 hours every two weeks) benefited position, working 8-hour regular shifts Monday through Friday. This is a remote position and the individual must be local in San Diego.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing T-SQL, relational database structure and MS Office applications.
  • Advanced programming skills and a technical aptitude are essential.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships with staff, management and vendors.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, workflow management, problem solving, time management and excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in information systems or computer science, or a combination of education and programming experience.
  • Knowledge of fundraising CRM database preferred.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • 3+ years experience with any fundraising application/software.
  • 2+ years of Blackbaud CRM software experience.
  • Experience working for a non-profit healthcare organization.
