Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Designer to join TYLin's Bridge Sector. This exciting opportunity will be centered around analyzing and designing various innovative bridge structures and helping guide junior staff on your team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Develops CADD plans and details for various types of Bridge Structures.

  • Develops and expands expertise and skill in approved computer aided design (CAD) applications.

  • Applies CAD expertise and skill in the development of detailed transportation construction plans.

  • Develops specialized transportation structural details including steel, pre-stressed and reinforced concrete bridge layouts.

  • Delegate and coordinate technical tasks to other technicians and subconsultants.

  • Maintains project electronic files and archives.

  • Provides guidance in CAD techniques and expedients to other technicians.

  • Prepares as-built plans.

  • Other related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Requires 10+ years applicable experience or demonstrated skill. Having a 2-year A.S. degree from an accredited college is preferred.

  • Must have experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation in a civil engineering environment, preferably associated with the production of bridge structural plans.

  • Knowledge of MS Office, 3D applications and imaging software utilized within the civil design industry desired.

  • Proficiency in data management, networking, hardware/software installations, CAD-specific workspace configuration files and software troubleshooting is desired.

  • This person must be client focused and will adhere to client-based CAD standards along with project team production guidelines.

  • Innovation is encouraged.

  • Proficiency in Bentley and Autodesk software must be maintained to the current release used on projects. We expect this person to also aid other production staff in the proper, efficient use of this software.

  • Ability to work with a collaborative team to develop high-quality bridge plans.


Additional Information

T.Y. Lin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$107,500 - $161,300 annually for this position and local market.
