Position Overview:

This individual loads galley equipment onto a truck, drives the truck to various types of aircraft and loads the equipment. The Driver is responsible for the catering of the food, vehicle, and safety of him/herself and others while catering. He/she accomplishes all activities in line with customers' guidelines while adhering to safety regulations. Drivers work and abide by all safety protocols and procedures established by our client and the airport. Drivers perform all essential functions listed below but are not limited to them. Operational need determines what tasks and functions need to be completed on any given day.


What You Will Be Doing:

* Load and unload of all equipment on trucks.

* Check to ensure the correct amount of trolleys and cabinets to be delivered before loading.

* Fill pre-trip inspection book & perform mandatory safety checks of the vehicle for each shift.

* Ensure the loading the products into vehicles is done according to plan galley.

* Ensure all items are delivered on time for each flight.

* Communicate by radio to supervisors and dispatcher for all items related to the job, including to provide updates and issues on whereabouts.

* Drive a heavy vehicle while respecting traffic regulations.

* Secure all products before delivery to the aircraft by sealing material in the truck.

* Maintain clean working area, clean loading docks, and clean equipment.

* Clean the vehicle and the area around the dock after each shift.

* Observe the proper use of equipment.

* Maintain proper compliance with general manufacturing practices.

* Visibly wear company uniform, including safety vest, work boots, and SIDA badge.

* Fill various security documents and certificates related to safety and HACCP.

* Train new drivers.

* Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported

* Follow all procedures for health, safety, and security.

* Properly utilize and comply with all relative technology provided to complete daily functions.

* Follow all current and new operation procedures.

* Communicate to leadership if a safety risk is presented.

* Accommodate any job task requested by leadership.

* Understand and be aware of the rapidly changing work environment.

* Be diligent, punctual, and reliable

* Perform other duties as assigned


What We Are Looking For:

* High School Diploma preferred

* Previous experience driving large vehicles

* Must have a current and valid state-issued Driver License with safe driving record

* Prior experience in airline or aviation related industry is a plus

* Ability to pass all required airport security clearance

* Ability to read, write, and speak in English

* Understanding and ability to use and manage technological devices

* Must have good attendance records

* Ability to adapt to new operating procedures

* Must be aware of safety risks

* Ability to communicate issues and knowledge gaps

* Good knowledge of HACCP

* Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends (depending on assigned shift) and work overtime when required

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
