Salary: $95,680-$130,000
Level: Mid level

P2S has an excellent opportunity for a talented electrical engineer to support medium-voltage infrastructure projects in our Long Beach or Irvine CA offices. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience with:

  • Medium voltage (2.4kV - 35kV) infrastructure design for commercial and industrial facilities that is suitable for public bid, including specification of associated switchgear, transformers, and other related medium voltage equipment
  • Specification and coordination of protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium voltage electrical systems


Requirements

  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power and Energy Systems
  • Active PE License is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Able to work on electrical infrastructure design projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
  • Prior experience working on commercial/industrial infrastructure projects. Must be able to access and perform site visits


    Working Knowledge

    • California Electrical Code
    • National Electrical Code
    • California Energy Code
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Revit a plus
    • AutoCAD a plus


    Duties:

    Pre-Design Engineering

    • Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment report
    • Prepare electrical schematic designs

    Project Management

    • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and subconsultants
    • Provide mentorship to design engineers
    • Prepare proposals independently for clients
    • Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients

    Construction Administration

    • Review and respond to RFI's
    • Review equipment submittals
    • Perform punch walks and prepare punch list report
