This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at 9305 Lightwave Ave and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Involves the development and implementation of the organization's information systemsand tools that are applied to clinical information. Works closely with clinicians across all hospital / healthcare departments to optimize effective use of systems. Coordinates analytical support for health management, including profiling, health economics, and business analytics / performance metrics. Defines systems and applications to support various functions. May provide customer service, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues or structure. May manage projects that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with business, technical, and clinical leaders to plan, develop, implement, and analyze highly-complex clinical informatics systems, and to design integrated architecture to ensure an optimal and efficient user experience and functionality, integrity, and reliability of systems.
  • Serves as a technical leader in collaborating with business operations, healthcare clinicians, and IT applications and technical teams to translate operations reporting requirements into technical reporting requirements.
  • Leads project teams that include advanced business and clinical staff to improve clinical informatics results and to provide advice and sophisticated metrics and analytics to support management's decision-making processes for operations requirements.
  • Performs complex quality assurance testing, designs and runs SQL (Structured Query Language) queries for enhanced and complex medical data access, and plans, develops, and writes documentation of design and deployment processes, workflows, and results.
  • As a technical leader and information resource, may provide support, troubleshooting, and problem solving at an advanced level, and may produce and deliver user training curricula.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related healthcare data analytics experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree in related area plus five (5) years of related healthcare data analytics experience.

  • Professional experience and proven success performing clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, clinical ontologies and adoption of technology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft SQL, stored procedures, queries, views.

  • Web development.

  • Slicer dicer.

  • EPIC Certifications in Cogito, Clarity, and/or Caboodle.

  • Advanced level experience with database management and various third-party report building tools such as Tableau, Crystal Reports, Cognos, and others.

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear technical specifications, presentations, training materials, user & technical documentation.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, develop effective solutions, and produce substantive reports and analysis.

  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with Data visualization designing dashboards for user friendly presentation of metrics.

  • Experience utilizing Lean concepts and Gemba rounding principles.

  • Experience in a large, complex healthcare environment.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $78,900 - $179,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $37.79 - $86.16

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
