$126,900.00 - $164,700.00JOB OVERVIEW:
The focus of this role is to maximize Blue Diamond's return across the Foundational product portfolio consisting of commodity and competitive core manufactured ingredients to key international markets.RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop an annual customer sales plan for assigned regions in partnership with the Foundational sales lead, consistent with the goals and objectives of the enterprise.
Ensure progress is on track to performance metrics for customers/regions in this segment and understand impact to overall GIM/commodity performance
Understanding of the fundamentals of industry supply and demand drivers, market dynamics, and competitive set, to position pricing/value with customers.
Develop an informed market opinion with the ability to communicate market events and trends effectively
Provide clear and well-thought-out price guidance to support strategic decision-making.
Develop relationships with key decision makers at the customer, understand and correlate customer needs and value especially when negotiating price.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery within company guidelines to maximize sales margins and long-term profitability. Obtain best sales margin result while working through customer objections/counteroffer
Assess multiple business opportunities and make appropriate tradeoffs balancing volume and margin to improve long-term business performance and profitability
Provide detailed and accurate monthly forecasting to planning team to ensure peak reliability
Conduct customer meetings and visits. Communicate deep customer insights with Blue Diamond colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer to continually increase our customer intimacy
Highly motivated, self-starter, with willingness to take ownership. Ability to be organized and prioritize daily activities
Represents BDG at trade shows as required
Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel
