Job Summary:

Assist with systems analysis within area of assignment. At this level, initial assignments are designed to expand practical experience in applying systems analysis techniques and procedures. Uses work processes and procedures; has familiarity with related computer programming practices, system software, and computer equipment.

Research routine user problems

Gather and compile data for reports

Carry out fact-finding and analysis, usually of a single activity or a routine problem

Assist with editing and maintaining database programs

Enhance knowledge in the use of software and data collection systems

Interface with Systems Analysts, Engineers and other system users

Assist higher level systems analysts with assigned tasks as requested

Assist with special project activities relative to planning, computer program coding, and related activities

Comply with computer operation standards and procedures

Establish and maintain filing system of databases for tracking and inventory of database information

Perform other related duties as directed

Education/Experience:

Associates Degree preferred or Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 6 years' job-related experience or equivalent.

Excellent communications and analytical skills; demonstrated working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

Position may require the ability to contribute to the investigation, troubleshooting, and the design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance and must possess a state issued driver's license.
