Job Scope

The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for executing product development activities related to:

  • Problem solving related to assay integration, consumables, software, and hardware
  • Requirements management and product definition
  • Risk management
  • Feasibility testing and optimization of instrument
  • System verification and validation
  • Assay integration and validation
  • Assessing system reliability
  • System algorithm development

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with instrumentation suppliers on instrument development.
  • Write hardware and software requirements/specifications.
  • Troubleshoot system-related issues and identify potential solutions.
  • Perform system feasibility, optimization, and V&V activities in line with other key functions in the Company.
  • Write and execute test protocols for system level testing.
  • Design and execute reliability testing activities.
  • Present technical findings and conclusions to functional group and project team members.
  • In compliance with all the Company's requirements, including Quality Assurance requests, ensure required quality of technical documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with other company functions (including Assay R&D, Quality Assurance, Corporate Service, and Operations) in driving successful product development and owning technical expertise on systems integration competencies.
  • Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with the company's quality policies and procedures per the applicable quality management system regulations as defined in the Quality Manual.
  • Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with applicable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and Company EHS policies. Violations of EHS regulations or policies will be handled in accordance with the established Company disciplinary process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences. Master's Degree in Engineering or Sciences, preferred, ideally with emphasis on Biomedical Engineering or Systems Engineering. Minimum 3 years in a systems engineering, systems integration, or product development role preferred.
  • Demonstrative technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration, and a successful track record that has involved independent thinking. Preferably the candidate should have experience working in the medical device industry, developing products that are subject to CE marking or FDA approval.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

$80,500/year to $95,00/year + bonus + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Diasorin offers benefits.
