Read more about us at: venicefamilyclinic.org Utilize your skills to make a difference in the lives of patients as a Lead Medical Records Clerk with our Venice Family Clinic team. With guidance and direction from the department supervisor, the Lead Medical Records Clerk will provide a wide range of administrative support including supervision in the medical records office. In this role, they will: * Supervise the department's daily operation, including monitoring work quality/productivity, training new employees, and develop and implement office procedures that enhance work flow and streamline the medical records process. * File/organize patient charts and other materials, and pull charts for general clinics and specialties. * Process incoming clinic mail and maintain files. * Maintain active medical records file by routinely checking for misfiles auditing and purging records, logging information for transfer to inactive filing system. * Stock office and order supplies, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required: * Demonstrated organizational skills to provide administrative and supervisory support and to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. * Working knowledge of the chart bar-coding system and QSI. * Demonstrated skill in organizing work priorities. * Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking). * General medical terminology knowledge. * Ability to identify problems and problem solve independently. * Working knowledge of computers (PCs) and other office equipment.
