Job Description

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for the Night Shift, Monday - Thursday; 6:00am - 4:30pm. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of machining processes in the fabrication of products to specifications on a variety of materials and machines, and will primarily use CNC production equipment. You will also make a weekend shift premium with built in overtime.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works on a variety of machining processes and equipment.
  • Operates CNC equipment such as 3, 4, and 5 axis lathes and milling machines with little or no supervision.
  • Performs machining processes in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Fabricates and measures parts, making required adjustments on tools to ensure conformance to requirements based on print and/or quality plan
  • Reads and interprets planning data and blueprints or drawings necessary to complete assignments.
  • Changes tools when needed
  • Performs SAP / MES entry per router instructions
  • Performs de-burring processes and protocols if needed
  • Responsible for keeping work area and machine equipment in clean and organized condition
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks per instruction if required
  • Follow all job related work instructions and policies
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function
  • Will spend part of his/her time as a member of continual improvement teams undertaking projects and seeking ways to improve the quality of KSI's products and services

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (appropriate work experience may be substituted for educational requirement).
  • Minimum 4 years of CNC machine operator experience.
  • Proficient in the use of math in the interpretation and execution of drawing requirements.
  • Thorough working knowledge and understanding of CNC machining.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and metric unit of measure.
  • Able to follow procedures and direction, with attention to details.
  • Strong problem solving skills in relation to machining processes.
  • Able to work as a team player.
  • Knowledge of medical device quality system regulations and standards (eg, U.S. FDA Quality System Regulation 21CFR Part 820, ISO13485, ISO9001)
