• Dynamic Shifts: Experience the excitement of 12-hour shifts, available between 0600-1830 and 1800-0630, with a 30-minute meal break included.
• Consistent Shifts: Maintain a work-life balance with a minimum of 4 shifts per month.
• Competitive Compensation: Elevate your earnings with estimated annual incomes ranging from $347,000 to $350,000 for employee status. For independent contractor physicians operating under a duly formed professional corporation, the estimated annual income reaches $370,000 to $374,000.

Your Qualifications:

We're looking for candidates who meet these qualifications:

• Board Certification: Be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM).
• Residency : Must be Emergency Medicine Residency Trained.
• Emergency Medicine Expertise: Possess experience in a hospital emergency medical department with a volume of no less than 2,500 visits per full-time physician per year.
• Credentials: Hold a current DEA registration, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS life support certifications.

The Hospital:

• Our 22-bed hospital facility offers an array of services, including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesia, OB/GYN, and Psychiatry.
• Radiology services, such as X-rays, CT imaging, and ultrasonography, are available 24/7, with MRI imaging accessible on weekdays.
• Specialty services, including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, ENT, Neurology, Urology, and more, are affiliated with NMRTC San Diego and available for phone consultation 24/7.
• You'll have the convenience of an in-house Laboratory and Pharmacy accessible around the clock.

The Dynamic Emergency Department:

• Our 9-bed Emergency Department is your stage for critical care, with no Fast-track.
• Handling 9,000-9,200 annual patient encounters and an average daily census of 25 patients per day, you'll be at the forefront of healthcare excellence.
• Our 12-hour, single-coverage staffing schedule ensures exceptional care, with 2 RNs and 3 Corpsmen on every shift.
• With low acuity cases predominating, most chief complaints are triaged as ESI 4 or 5. In CY2022, our admission/transfer rate stood at just 5.3%.

Logistical Excellence:

• While we may not provide ICU-level care or inpatient telemetry, rest assured that patients requiring admission are swiftly transferred to higher levels of care.
• Robust air and ground EMS support guarantee timely patient transport to medical centers in the Palm Springs/Southern California area.
• Tele-Critical Care is available 24/7 to address any transfer delays for critically ill patients.
• Our streamlined processes ensure efficient care, from placing holding orders to transferring patients in need of specialized care.
• Whether it's strokes, STEMIs, or major traumas, we handle them with precision, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
• Obstetric and Gynecologic concerns are addressed with utmost care, with 24/7 availability for OB-related emergencies.
• Our Anesthesia team is on standby 24/7, ready to assist with procedural sedations or challenging airway cases.
• For patients requiring psychiatric hospitalization, we've simplified the process for minimal delays, with on-call mental health support available 24/7 for disposition, holds, or close-interval follow-up.
