JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives, will work directly with the VP of Global Marketing, Dental Specialties Group (Orthodontics, Implants and Oral Surgery), in identifying breakthrough marketing opportunities, planning strategy and the tactical implementation of all aspects of the initiative.  This is a broad based, multi-faceted role that will cut across many of the functional areas of the business and the parent company’s business units, and will include working with KOLs to identify “next big thing” opportunities,  engineers to identify products and product performance criteria, partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products, clinical affairs, regulatory, marcom, CE, event planning, etc.  He/she will further define the project strategies and objectives, create schedules and manage processes and teams. He/she will identify, assess and minimize project risks as projects develop. 

 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
CE Programs:  Manages and directs overall OSA continuing education programs, including messages and curriculum development. Develops marketing plans to assure that course offerings including brochures, website, ads, etc. are planned, developed and distributed as needed. Identifies key areas for educational opportunities. 

KOLs: Develops and maintains professional relationships with key clinical champions, manages their activities, and identifies new speakers that would add value to our curriculum. 

Marcom:  Ensures efficient use of resources, execution of plans, and timely communication to sales teams and customer base with product development and marketing rollout schedules.
Plans and manages the development and execution of marketing/promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, as well as practice growth programs and strategies. 

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

 
 
Experience:                     
Four year university degree, MBA preferred; 10 years healthcare experience, dental preferred; extensive experience working with key opinion leaders and universities.  Requires excellent communications skills, organizational skills, analytic and problem solving skills, an ability to work effectively with regulatory, sales, marketing, customers, supply partners.  A positive, can-do, get it done attitude is a must.
                                                                                               
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:  
Experience developing curriculum for CE programs, recruiting and managing KOLs, developing PowerPoint presentations and marketing communications plans.
