Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance;
  • Treatment system commissioning, troubleshooting, and monitoring;
  • Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
  • Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals. 

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (preferred)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of related prior experience, including internship, consulting, and/or research; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
  • Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, ArcView, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Modflow, and/or EVS. (preferred) 
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Below us the potential compensation range that we in good faith believe is applicable for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified California location below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Based on state and federal requirements, this position may be hourly and overtime-eligible or salaried eligible for straight-time overtime. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

 

  • Minimum: $64,480 /year / Maximum: $99,700/year or Minimum: $26.25 /hour / Maximum: $31.00/hour (Sacramento)
