As our Clinical Social Worker, you will provide and coordinate mental health care through a network of campus and clinical resources. You will provide brief screening, assessment, and treatment planning for students and house staff with problems from mild to severe, deliver brief solution-focused counseling to the full range of presenting concerns, case management to a full range of medical students and house staff, provide emergency intervention to the full range of cases, including after-hours when contacted.
In this role, you will also perform case management and complete documentation in timely manner. You will coordinate agenda and keep minutes for scheduled staff meetings and trainings, manage BWC calendar, assign patients to clinicians, organize patient provider utilization and clinical outcomes data to clinical and administrative supervisors(including but not limited to patient volume data and access). Some night and weekends required.
Salary Range: $100,276.75 – $119,847.10 Annual
Will hire at the II or III level based on experience and licensure
- MSW or LCSW currently licensed to practice in California or license eligible
- Demonstrated ability to conduct brief psychotherapy and crisis intervention
- Demonstrated skills in consultation work with professional and non-professional colleagues
- Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and intervene with severely psychologically disturbed clients
- Working knowledge of applicable laws and ethics pertaining to mental health
- Working knowledge of cultural and ethnic factors affecting mental health service delivery
- Ability to work with a diverse and traditionally underserved population
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in an interdisciplinary environment
Interpersonal skills to works as part of a team, as a member of committees, and to collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff - Knowledge of basic computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word
PREFERRED:
- Previous counseling experience in an institution of higher learning
- Knowledge of local community mental health resources
- Knowledge of the medical school and residency training environments and of the developmental issues of medical students and house staff
- Experience in working with an electronic medical record
