Clinical Informatics - IS Clinical Research - Full Time 8 Hour Day Shift (Exempt)(Non-Union)

• The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for communicating, collaborating and working with leadership, staff and IT teams to design and continuously improve Cerner build and related IT endeavours. Applicant will work closely with physicians, nurses, hospital administration and IT counterparts on a day-to-day basis. The Clinical Informaticist will report through clinical operations with a primary responsibility to serve as an operations/IT liaison through assessment, scoping, build, implementation, optimization upgrades, system changes and enhancements, and ongoing system maintenance, which can include system testing, troubleshooting, issue management, training and go-lives.

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120- $133,010. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations


Minimum Education: • Bachelor’s degree Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • Minimum 3 years of experience; experience to include implementation, testing, and on-going support of clinical application(s) • At least 2 years Health Care Information Technology (HCIT) consulting work experience • Must have advanced Inpatient workflow experience. • Cerner experience highly desired • Experience as a Licensed Clinical worker or Health Care worker a plus • Self-starter with ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change initiatives • Strong presentation skills to executives and chief clinicians Required License/Certification: • LA City Fire and Safety Certification. If no certification upon hire, must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
